An artist across languages.
A presence across worlds.

Carlos Ponce is a Puerto Rican actor, singer and television personality whose work bridges Spanish- and English-language entertainment. Born in Santurce and raised in Humacao, he moved with his family to Miami in 1986 and continued performing in school productions.

Television brought his first professional opportunities: hosting Hablando and Control, followed by acting roles in Guadalupe and Sentimientos ajenos. He expanded into U.S. television with Beverly Hills, 90210 and 7th Heaven, later appearing in Hollywood Heights and Cristela.

His film credits include Couples Retreat and Spy, alongside voice work in Rio, Free Birds and Ice Age: Collision Course. Spanish-language highlights include Dame Chocolate, Perro Amor, Santa diabla and Silvana Sin Lana.

Music became another defining chapter with his 1998 self-titled debut, followed by Todo Lo Que Soy and Ponce. “Rezo,” “Decir Adiós” and “Escúchame” each reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Tracks chart.

This collection celebrates his creative journey through 2017.

The relationships behind
the creative journey.

Francisco Ponce ran and operated Pop Media Group alongside In2ition Entertainment, working across talent management and entertainment operations. When the company joined forces with Estefan Enterprises, he went on to oversee its production department, building experience across artist representation and entertainment production.

As President and CEO of In2ition Entertainment, Francisco led a talent management and public relations company focused on Latin and crossover talent. His work brought him alongside major agencies including WME, CAA, and UTA, connecting artists with opportunities across Spanish- and English-language entertainment.

At the center of his work was the management of Carlos Ponce’s entire career and operations, encompassing music, acting, hosting, and his broader professional activities. Their work together spanned recorded music, telenovelas, American television, Hollywood films, animation, and hosting. His work with Carlos brought together opportunities across Latin America and the U.S. general market.

In 2017, Francisco stepped down from In2ition Entertainment and concluded his representation of Carlos Ponce to take an executive role at NBCUniversal Telemundo as Vice President of Talent Relations.

Historical context
The original Latin thresholds were 100,000 for Oro and 200,000 for Platino. Effective January 1, 2008, RIAA lowered them to 50,000 and 100,000 and automatically amended earlier awards. Its database lists Platino while retaining the April 21, 2000 certification date. The original award predates streaming equivalents.
